NASA has awarded $1 million to a team from the Laboratory for Atmospheric and Space Physics (LASP) at the University of Colorado Boulder (CU Boulder) to develop a Rubik’s cube-sized instrument, CEDA (Compact Electrostatic Dust Analyzer) that will measure the speed, size, and charge of tiny dust particles on small rocky bodies like asteroids and comets.
